Both past and present members of Scouting in Ireland are invited to and may become members of Scouting Ireland’s Heritage Group.

The  Heritage Group  comes under the area of responsibility of the Chief Commissioner – Adult Resources Mr. Johnnie Brennan and the  Patron of the Heritage Group is the  Chief Scout of Scouting Ireland Mr. Michael John Shinnick.

Scouting Ireland is proud of its heritage and will do its utmost to preserve it, whilst providing quality Scouting to the young people of Ireland in a modern and vibrant way.

The Heritage Group undertakes this role.

The purpose of The Scouting Ireland Heritage Group is to preserve the heritage of Scouting Ireland and its two founding associations, Scouting Ireland (CSI) and Scouting Ireland S.A.I., through the sourcing, protection, restoration and exhibition of Scouting memorabilia and artifacts.

Anyone wishing to join the Heritage Group or seeking information may do so by contacting National Office 01/4956300.
