Events : Jamoige
JamÓige 2009
UPDATE January 2010:
The JamÓige team have worked closely with the Suppliers and Partners of the event in order to determine the Carbon Footprint of the Event.
This was the first event that we have ever from start to finish adopted this process, so as you can imagine it has taken us some time in compiling the detail and realistic goals and partnerships.
On Monday 4th January 2010 (previously stated as 16th December 2009, mailing delayed to avoid errors during Christmas post) the following mailing will be sent to all Groups:
- Details of the Carbon Footprint of the Event
- A closing ceremony with an activity pack in order for you to explore the notion of Carbon Offsetting and the importance of it when planning activities with your Cub Scouts & Beaver Scouts
- The Camp Chief Pins
Following this event the Programme Commissioner (National Events) Ian Davy has worked closely with Coillte in order to identify projects and programme initiatives that the Events Team and the Association can get involved in. This will asist Scouting Ireland as a whole realise our impact on the Environment. Further details of these initives will become available in 2010 through programme resurces and National Campsites.

WE HAVE REACHED CAPACITY......
The Cub Camp has over 3,000 bookings - there are no further places available, no more bookings will be accepted.
The Beaver camp has approximately 700 booked in todate and is now closed, no more bookings will be accepted.
