Delegates to the World Scout Conference, Brazil 10-14 January 2011
It was agreed at the June meeting of the NMC to send six delegates to the World Scout Conference in Brazil 2011...
The two under 26 delegates will attend the World Scout Youth Forum 3-6 January, 2011 before the World Scout Conference and then will travel on to take part in the World Conference. Other delegates will be the International Commissioner and some members of the NTPIC.
The two under 26 delegates will be required to undertake one eighteen month project each. This is to commence upon returning from the World Scout Conference utilising their experiences, contacts and best practices identified through networking that will benefit Scouting Ireland in the long term.
It is envisaged by both the Chief Commissioner (Youth Programme) and the Chief Commissioner (Adult Resources that the two projects would not be merely written reports but tangible and practical work outputs assisting in meeting the aims and objectives of the Scouting Ireland Strategic Plan.
The theme for the World Scout Youth Forum is “Paddle your own canoe”
