What you can do for your Community - Ideas and Suggestions
In worrying times such as these, scouts can provide leadership and be a positive influence in our communities. This can be achieved even through the smallest gestures and simple ideas at local level. A good start is reminding our members to link in with their elderly relatives or neighbours who may be alone at this worrying time. A kind word at such a time can go a long way.
National Campaign for Local Support
Scouting Ireland is asking all Scout Groups* (Republic of Ireland) to sign up for the: National Campaign of Local Support

Local Initiatives
We want to know what you are doing during this time to do your best; in your family, to serve your community and to help others during the global COVID-19 pandemic? We know lots of big and small things are being done in communities all over Ireland already, we want to hear about them!
We also want to know how you have adapted your scout meetings, how you are keeping your groups active and engaged and how you are making things work during Coronavirus.
To make it easy for others to find and share (and copy) all your actions that show our Scout Promise in action we have chosen the hashtag #ScoutsHelpingOut and we encourage you to use it to highlight the things we can all do to help in our communities. We know Scouting can be a leading light during this time, an organisation that can inspire others, so let’s show everyone exactly how we are #ScoutsHelpingOut and don’t forget to wear your neckerchief!
Scouts are brave, Scouts are helpful, and Scouts are kind.
