Larch Hill International Scout & Guide Centre

The centre is situated in the picturesque valley between Kilmashogue and Tibradden mountains, 11 kilometres from the centre of Dublin and at the start of the Wicklow Way Walking Trail. Larch Hill is a 36 hectare campsite surrounded by many natural amenities and wildlife and is a place where young people can enjoy outdoor pursuits in a safe, friendly and secure environment.

Camping

There are 33 hectares of camping grounds. Water taps can be found in most camping fields and there is plenty of firewood available on site from 3 hectares of forest. Modern toilet and shower blocks are available. There is also a large wet weather shelter which allows you to run a programme on those not so sunny days.

Eco Village

Sleeps up to 40 people or 2 separate groups of 22 and 18. The village includes a fully equipped & lighted kitchen, dining tents, dormitory and leader tents with beds. It is suitable for training courses, Beaver Scout groups, long distance and overseas groups and school/youth groups and is available April to October.

Larch Hill House

Larch Hill House and Conference Centre has been recently redeveloped, it is situated near the main reception area in Larch Hill overlooking Dublin city. The centre is equipped with a state of the art large catering kitchen and dining area which connects to a  large conference hall. There is leaders rooms, 16 bedrooms in total all with a max of 4 person dormitory style rooms, male and female toilet and shower facilities and a central courtyard. All beds have pillows and mattress covers. All you need to bring your sleeping bags. All kitchen utensils and equipment are provided. The kitchen consists of a large fridge and freezer, large gas cooker, catering style combi oven, toaster, microwave, burco and more. Larch Hill House and Conference Centre is block booked and exclusively yours for the weekend.

Centenary Lodge

The Centenary Lodge is situated in Larch Hills Training field to the rear of the main reception and carpark area. It opened in November 2007. It is a partly solar heated timber build chalet and sleeps up to 26 people. All bedrooms are dormitory style and the Lodge consists of four 4 person bedrooms and a large 10 person bedroom. All beds have pillows and mattress covers, All you need to bring is your own sleeping bags. A male, female, disabled toilet and showers alike are available in the lodge; it is also equipped with a modern kitchen which is attached to the main dining area. All kitchen utensils and equipment are provided. The kitchen consists of a large fridge and freezer, large gas cooker, oven, toaster, microwave and more. The Centenary Lodge is block booked and exclusively yours for the weekend.

Climbing Walls, Archery, Crate Climbing, Ropes Course, Zip Line, Grass Sledges, Human Maze, Assault courses, Orienteering, Treasure Hunts, Pioneering, Tree Trail/Nature Trail, Eco Adventure, Beaver Park, Campfires/Backwoods and Hillwalking.

Training Courses can be arranged in First Aid, Mountaineering and Leave No Trace.
