- Practical application through activities
- Knowing the meaning is more important than knowing the words by heart.
The Scout Law
A Scout is to be trusted.
A Scout is loyal.
A Scout is helpful and considerate to all.
A Scout has courage in all difficulties.
A Scout makes good use of time and is careful of possessions and property.
A Scout has respect for self and others.
A Scout respects nature and the environment.

Beaver Scouts are Friendly
They always say Hi, Please and Thank You!
Beaver Scouts are Kind
They work hard and help their family and friends.
Cub Scouts are Honest
They always tell the truth.
Cub Scouts can be Trusted
They always keep their word.
Scouts are Respectful
They care for themselves and for others.
Scouts are Brave
They stand up for right and good.
Venture Scouts are Loyal
They support their family,
Rover Scouts seek out Justice for all
They strive to make the World a better place.

The Scout Promise

There are alternate versions of the promise, in which the second line is different. It is up to an individual to choose the one that best represents them.
