LEARN THROUGH HANDS ON SCOUTING EXPERIENCES

Scouting’s educational model centres on a practical approach. Scouts actively participate in hands-on and interactive activities, which present them with rich applied opportunities. This approach means that Scouts may not achieve an expected outcome, but will always learn from the experience.

Learning by Doing:

  • Allows Scouts to push their limits in a protected environment
  • Encourages a responsible attitude
  • Develops life skills and knowledge as well as practical skills
  • Means learning from others, and sharing their own knowledge
  • Promotes getting involved now and drawing conclusions later
  • Fosters self-education, learning to learn, and life-long learning
