Training eLearning Modules

Adult Training

As part of the new Scouting Ireland Training Programme, you can complete some of your training requirements by completing the appropriate eLearning module online.

If you have any difficulties registering for any module or printing the appropriate certificate, please contact us by email at elearning@scouts.ie

The Story of Scouting- eLearning module is part of the induction process for new Leaders (Scouters) and takes approx. 30 minutes to complete. It provides the participant with an overview of our Aim, the age ranges we work with, some of the benefits of Scouting and an overview of the origins of the Movement.

The Safeguarding - Foundation eLearning module is designed for and to be completed by individuals who are registered members of Scouting Ireland in any of the following 3 categories:

·    Youth Members who are 17.5 years plus and who intend to retain membership within the youth programme as a Rover Scout.

·    Young adults 18 - 26 years who have registered as a new Rover Scout.

·    Adults (18+) who have registered as Associate Members.

The module will take approximately 60 minutes to complete and is designed to enhance your understanding of Safeguarding for our youth members and highlight the appropriate behaviours expected of you as an adult in Scouting. It includes interactive exercises to reinforce your learning.

This module does not under any circumstances fulfill the Safeguarding Training requirements for a registered Programme Scouter.
