Story Of The Wood Badge
The story of the Wood Badge dates back to the first training courses run by Robert Baden-Powell in Gilwell Park. It is traditional that the Wood Badge is only presented from around the neck of another Wood Badge holder and that this creates an unbroken link from the first Wood Badge presented by Baden Powell way back in 1919.
When awarded with the Wood Badge, you are also entitled to wear the Gilwell Scarf.
