Castle Saunderson Campsite

Castle Saunderson International Scout Centre is nestled between the waterways of Upper Lough Erne and the drumlins of the surrounding counites of Cavan and Fermanagh. 

Less than 2 hours’ drive from either Dublin or Belfast. Castle Saunderson is perfectly located to welcome Groups from all over the island of Ireland, as well as Groups from overseas.

Castle Saunderson

Castle Saunderson Hostel is situated in the center of our 34-acre site. The hostel can sleep 48 people, is equipped with a catering kitchen, dining hall, common room, and large wet weather shelter. The hostel also has conference/meeting rooms, with highspeed broadband, for hire. 

Castle Saunderson Campsite can cater for 800-1000 people and has a purpose-built toilet and shower block. Located in the broadleaf woodland there are Adirondack shelters for hire and a designated hammocking area. You will find multiple campfire circles on site to enjoy after an exciting day of onsite activities.

Internships:

The  Short-term  Interns who come to National Scout  Centres work in 1 of 3 Centres or possibly all,  based in Ireland.

On this placement you can expect some of the following:  

  1. Customer service experience.  
  2. IT skills the participants will be using the booking system and receipting system along with an opportunity to work on marketing and graphics should they be interested.  
  3. Activity training and delivery.  

And many more.  

This is a great opportunity for anyone of Rover/Ranger/Guider age that is looking to grow themselves in many aspects of life. You will get a taste of what it is like working and running a National Scout Centre. You will also be provided with accommodation and food allowances, this opportunity will be well suited to anyone looking to move out of home for a summer period.   

Corporate, Youth and School Groups

Castle Saunderson can also cater for non-Scout groups, such as, schools, youth groups or corporate clients. This is achieved through our Discovered brand, which aims to deliver quality non formal education through the mediums of Adventure, Environment, Team Challenges and Creative Learning.
