Lough Dan Scout Centre is one of the National Scout Centre's of Scouting Ireland. It is situated in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains National Park on the shores of Lough Dan, but only 30km from Dublin city.

Lough Dan Hostel caters for both small and large groups, with a maximum capacity of 44 people. The hostel can be booked to suit your group's needs:
*Entire Hostel: This can cater for 44 people, with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, toilets, and showers.
*Hostel (Downstairs): This can cater for up to 30 people, with access to the fully equipped kitchen, dining room, toilets and showers
*Hostel (Upstairs): This can cater for up to 14 people, with access to separate cooking/dining facilities, toilets and showers.
Lough Dan Campsite has 5 separate camping fields to allow for several groups to camp or hammock at the same time. The site is suited for all types of camping and camp craft. Due to its fantastic location, we encourage everyone that comes to Lough Dan to use it as a base camp to explore the area. Our philosophy can be summed up as “Pitch & Get Out” into wild Wicklow and re-connect with nature.
CRATE STACKING is the only instructor led activity available in Lough Dan at the moment.
KAYAKING/CANOEING can be conducted by leaders; however, the leader would need to have a qualification.

This is a great opportunity for anyone of Rover/Ranger/Guider age that is looking to grow themselves in many aspects of life. You will get a taste of what it is like working and running a National Scout Centre. You will also be provided with accommodation and food allowances, this opportunity will be well suited to anyone looking to move out of home for a summer period.
Lough Dan can also cater for non scout groups, such as, schools, youth groups or corporate clients. This is achieved through our Discovered brand, which aims to deliver quality non formal education through the mediums of Adventure, Environment, Team Challenges and Creative Learning.
