109th Cork Ballinora Scouts have been named finalists in Re-turn’s ‘Small Town, Big Difference’ campaign. This initiative, organised by Re-turn, the operator of Ireland’s Deposit Return Scheme (DRS), celebrates community groups making a meaningful impact in their local areas.
Among over 340 entries from across Ireland, the 109th Cork Ballinora Scouts impressed the judges with their inspiring story, earning them a place in the top 10 finalists and a €2,000 award to support their ongoing efforts. The group’s innovative use of the DRS highlights how Scouting plays a vital role in promoting sustainability and community spirit.
The competition now moves to its final phase, with a panel of judges, including broadcaster Jennifer Zamparelli and social media stars Tadhg and Derry Fleming, selecting five winners from the finalists.
Congratulations to the 109th Cork Ballinora Scouts on this fantastic achievement! You’ve made the Scouting community incredibly proud, and we wish you the very best in the next stage of the competition.
