Scouting Ireland and Gaisce announce new registration system for participants

Scouting Ireland and Gaisce – The President’s Award is launching a new system for the registration and completion of the CSA / Gaisce Dual Award for Scouts, Ventures Scouts and Rovers Scouts.The new system will simplify the registration and completion experience for all scouts who wish to pursue a Gaisce award alongside their Scouting awards.Scouts registering for the Gaisce award should follow the new process:

1. Youth member to select a mentor and discuss what is involved in achieving the award with them. If you need help finding a CSA mentor in your area email csa.support@scouts.ie
2. Youth member to log onto Gaisce website at www.gaisce.ie and register as a participant.
3. For your Gaisce Award Partner select Scouting Ireland, Dublin 16.
4. For your PAL select Administrator CSA – Scouting Ireland.
5. Under payment options select Pay now using debit or credit card and follow the link to make payment directly to Gaisce.
6. Start your CSA / Gaisce Dual Award journey with the support of your mentor.
7. Once you have completed the award, fill in this Microsoft Form.
8. Your Mentor will be contacted by Scouting Ireland to verify all elements of the award have been successfully completed.
9. Your CSA / Gaisce Dual Award will be approved and presented at the annual presentation.

Beaver and Cub Chief Scout Award - New Process

We're pleased to announce a more efficient admin process for the Beaver and Cub CSA. No registration is required. This is effective immediately. The steps are simple.

• Start the activities with Beavers and Cubs now. There’s no need to contact National Office
• Record the activities in a way that suits you and them. Books are no longer required
• When they are finished in 6 months time, complete an online form with a payment link. This form will be available in the coming weeks. The payment is €5.
• On completion, the certs and badges will be posted to Group Leaders the following calendar month.

The form is not needed until July and we will update everyone when it's available and where to find it.

For Beavers and Cubs who are already registered, please complete the process using the old system when they have achieved the requirements.

Mentor Training

The next mentor training will be held online on Tuesday 9^thApril. For anybody wishing to attend, they need to email their Name and Group to csa.support@scouts.ie
