Would you like to send a patrol to the MPC?
MPC is a weekend hillwalking event organised by the Hillwalking Skills Section of Scouting Ireland. Participants will navigate both at night and during the day to reach various campsites throughout the weekend.
The event starts at night in a remote area, with scouts in teams of four, plus a leader acting as an observer. They will navigate through a mountainous region to check in at a low camp. The following day, they will walk across a range of summits, navigating their way to different checkpoints before setting up camp. On Sunday, they will return to the car park. All participants must be fully self-sufficient and carry all necessary equipment for the journey.
