Scouting Ireland is proud to take part in Oíche na hÓige / Youth Night 2025, with the main celebration on Friday, 21 November. Over 80 Scout Groups across the Republic of Ireland will open their doors to welcome their local communities and showcase the impact of Scouting and youth work. Many groups will host events and activities throughout the week, from 21–28 November, providing plenty of opportunities to get involved and experience Scouting in your community.
Oíche na hÓige invites youth clubs, services, and organisations nationwide to open their doors and showcase the important role youth work plays in the lives of young people. Throughout the evening, participating Scout Groups will host a wide range of activities designed to give families, neighbours, and community members a first-hand look at Scouting in action.
Celebrating Youth Work Across Ireland
Oíche na hÓige is an initiative of the Department of Education and Youth, delivered in partnership with Education and Training Boards, the National Youth Council of Ireland, and the wider youth work sector. The annual event shines a spotlight on the positive outcomes of youth work and on the dedicated volunteers who support young people across the country.
