A delegation from Scouting Ireland's World Scout Jamboree Team travelled this July to Gdansk to represent the contingent at the 3rd Head of Contingent Meeting.
The days were packed with some great sessions and workshops covering programme, food and logistics, Jamboree life, safety and security, and much more.
Rory, Lucy and Will had an opportunity to walk the Jamboree site and check in area, giving them a better picture of what to expect during arrival and departure. They also coordinated with fellow contingents from around the world, comparing notes and building relationships ahead of the Jamboree.
The team also took time before the meeting to explore options for the Jamboree post-camp tour in Warsaw, meeting with suppliers, and checking out attractions around the city.
With planning for the WSJ 2027 now well underway and the first full contingent events planned for this autumn, this visit marked another important step in preparing Scouting Ireland's contingent for what promises to be an unforgettable experience in Poland next year.
