Splashdown 2025 came to Lough Dan Scout Centre once again for the May bank holiday weekend and participating scouting members from Waterford, Wexford, Wicklow and Dublin enjoyed glorious weather.
At the heart of the event was Odin’s Challenge, a demanding, action-packed competition combining land and water-based activities. Teams of 12 took on a series of exciting bases including rowing, paddling, pioneering, navigation, rope work, first aid, stretcher races, canoe building, and a variety of games, testing both skill and collaboration.
A big congratulations goes to all participants for their incredible efforts, and special recognition to the following winners:
- 🏆 2nd Port Waterford (Dunmore East) – Venture Trophy Winners
- 🏆 2nd Port Waterford (Dunmore East) – Sea Scout Trophy Winners
- 🏆 1st Wexford (New Ross) – Cub Trophy Winners
We were honoured to have Stephen Taylor, Sea Scouting – Ireland team member and Seattle BSA Commodore, present the trophies and badges.
A heartfelt thanks goes to the amazing team of Scouters, Ventures, and Rovers who made the event possible. Their dedication and energy brought the Splashdown spirit to life once again.
