Ned Brennan lives in Youghal in East Cork where he has been an active Scout Leader for the past 20 years. During this period he has served as Cub Scout Leader, Scout Leader and Group Leader. I am currently a Venture Scout Leader in a large mixed group.
Previously, he was a Cub Scout, Scout and Venture Scout leader in Greystones, Co Wicklow and in New Ross, Co Wexford.
At county level, he has previously served as an ACPC for Cub Scouts and Venture Scouts and County Commissioner in Cois Laoi Scout County from 2015 to 2018.
At national level he has served on the Board of Scouting Ireland since first elected in October 2018. In 2020 he was nominated by the Board to Chair the Health and Safety Board Sub Committee. In 2021 he was elected Deputy Chairperson of the Board.
