Paul Mannion is a member of 14th Galway Scout Group supporting new adult volunteers and the Venture Scout Section. He is a both a wood badge and safeguarding trainer with the Western Province panel. Paul has served on the Board of Scouting Ireland as a non-executive director and trustee since 2018 and chairs the Governance, Compliance and Nominations subcommittee where Scouting Ireland look to develop corporate governance policy and practise beyond the requirements of compliance towards the creation of better futures for the organisation and the people who engage with it.
Professionally Paul, a registered architect, Fellow of the RIAI & RIBA member, leads the Scott Tallon Walker Architects Galway studio and is responsible for the direction of a wide variety of institutional and commercial projects in both the west of Ireland and the UK. He also teaches core modules for the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Sustainable Environments (MSc) at the NUI, Galway School of Engineering.
